I thought these were going to be more like dudes in the background than intentional stuff. I'm literally halfway through I'm thinking of ending things. And it's not that good anymore now it's just too over-the-top to weird before that it was weird but this is too weird heading over the top.

My mom currently is suffering from early onset Alzheimers, this really depicts her mind well. I feel like I shouldnt have watched it, really well made film tho. Makes total sense after watching this. You did it Charlie, you got me to sob my eyes out at a song from Oklahoma. The Strangers should have been on this list for that moment that the man in the mask looked through the glass door while Kristin was trying to use the phone. I felt like this was the beautiful idea of what could have been that the janitor and to kill and realize it wasn't real.

I stopped watching... couldn't get through it... Netflix: look how much money we spent on these actors. Some of these are old so low quality, you should zoom and/or circle what you want us to see. I can't get enough of Charlie Kaufman. I'm currently reading his first novel, Antkind, as well. Thanks, I didn't get anything after watching this film. Just finnished watching the movie. I understand nothing. It hurts to watch 30 second in. Telling me the past filmography of each actor does NOT set up this movie or give any insight 🤔. I'm not gonna watch this video yet or read the comments as I haven't seen the movie, but I'm guessing this video is at least partially a backlash against all of those THE ENDING OF X EXPLAINED videos, and if so, I 100000000000000000000000000% agree. People making pretentious 20 minute videos about the Mad Men finale and shit. C'mon.

Very “La La Land” like. Similar looking actors and romanticized dance scene, and also a reminition on what could have been. SPOILERS So this was a bit confusing to me but I think I get it. They show him being killed by the janitor when he was younger so did he die when he was young by this janitor and now the janitor, older, is haunted by the student he killed long ago? Or (this is the most likely case) Is this just a representation that Jake is in fact the janitor and the dance showing him killing his younger self and taking the girlfriend away a metaphor for him killing both his younger self and this girlfriend he's come up with in his head and been imagining in his head the whole movie and now accepting his present self and coming to terms with the fact he was unable to accomplish his dreams and instead ended up as a janitor.

Thanks for the misleading thumbnail that led everyone to believe you'd actually circle what we're supposed to be looking for. The last one was the worst, not even a hint on a general location of where to look. Damn i already watched it. The library scene in IT brought the hell out of me. Kaufman is right there. The edition was amazing and really funny. Thank you. Did anyone notice that random shot in the first car sequence where it seems like the camera is moving outside the car and the Young Woman turns as if she's noticing something fly past the car? I think about that shot a lot and why it was there. Yeah the Emu really does look like a hanging human due to its long neck and the trees, but you can see it flap its wings. No worry needed. 🙃 (If you watch for it staring directly into the screen you can catch the movement. 👍🏻.

Kaufman is overrated. He drowned himself on narcissistic self pitty. With all due respect, that's my opinion. I was very impressed with this movie because I love Kaufman, but with him, the focus is always (understandably) on the screenplay. This was his first movie where I felt the screenplay wasn't necessarily the driving force, and the editing (as well as the performances) were a big part of that. Ultimately, it felt more concerned with established a certain feeling and atmosphere than getting ideas across. The Wizard of Oz first copies of the movie did indeed show a hanging in the background which was later replaced by a large bird.

I'm thinking of rewatching things

The insidious and conjuring movies are the masters of creepy things in the background. Thanks!now it's all clear. I watched this movie and I was very focused, because I've heard it's complicated. Who else got the awesome nod to cult horror films in Jake's childhood VHS collection. 0:26 is the whole truth! Mood 4 EVERY Kaufman film 😂😂😂🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻💯💯💯. This is what made the movie for me. simply fantastic.
